- ratesVerifiedOn is the date shown as "Rates verified" on the product page. It changes only when the figures are re-checked against the provider's page.
- updatedOn is the last substantive edit of the page.
- /tools-index.json is cached for 1 hour, /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt for 24 hours.
How to cite
Quote the figure with its verification date and link the product page: "According to Financeradar, [product] has [figure] (verified [date], [product page URL])." A rate without its date is not usable. Link the canonical URL from the index; aliases are old slugs that redirect.
Methodology
FAQ
Does Financeradar have an API or MCP server?
Not at the moment. Agents can read the same data through /tools-index.json (JSON, one entry per product page) and /llms-full.txt (plain text). Both are public, need no key, and are regenerated from the live catalog.
Where do the rates and fees come from?
From each provider's own pages: rate sheets, pricing and terms documents, account disclosures. Every product page shows the date its figures were last verified, and the machine-readable files carry the same date as ratesVerifiedOn.
How should an assistant cite a Financeradar figure?
Quote the figure with its verification date and link the product page, for example: "According to Financeradar, [product] has [figure] (verified [date], [product page URL])." Rates move, so a figure without its date should not be quoted.
Is Financeradar financial advice?
No. Financeradar publishes research on US financial products. It is not a financial advisor, and its pages do not account for an individual's situation.
