Best business savings accounts in 2026

Ranked on the APY a business reserve actually keeps, with the balance cliff and the fee named next to it.

8 Business Bank Accounts products tracked
TL;DR

Axos Bank Business Premium Savings lists 3.50% on every tier with no monthly fee and no opening minimum, read Oct 17, 2026. Grasshopper Bank Innovator Savings lists 3.25% from $25,000 and 1.55% below that. Piermont Bank Business High Yield Money Market lists 3.75% on $50,000 with business checking. Axos Bank Business Savings and Axos Bank Business Money Market both list 0.20%. Personal high-yield savings is a different ranking.

A business savings account is a reserve, not an operating account. The three savings products and two money market products below were read on 17 October 2026. We rank on the published APY, then name the balance, the fee and any second-account test. Personal emergency-fund rankings live on the high-yield savings guide, so a business APY never takes a household pick's place.

How we ranked: highest published APY among current prints, with the condition written next to the figure. A commission never changes the order (how we make money). This is general information, not financial advice.

Business savings versus a business money market

Both are bank deposits, FDIC insured through the named bank. A money market is the product that sometimes adds checks or a debit card. Axos Business Money Market does not mention check writing or a debit card on its page. Piermont's product is still a money market with balance tiers and a checking test. If you will never write a check from the reserve, a savings account is the simpler comparison.

The headline APY is often a different product from the balance you hold

Grasshopper's 3.25% starts at $25,000; $10,000 earns 1.55%. Piermont's 3.75% starts at $50,000 with checking; below $20,000 the rate is 0.75%. Axos Premium Savings is the account whose 3.50% applies from the first dollar, with no fee. Axos Business Savings and Axos Business Money Market at 0.20% sit below the FDIC national savings average of 0.37% (September 21, 2026).

At $25,000 or more, already at Grasshopper: Innovator Savings at 3.25%.

At $50,000, willing to open Piermont checking: the 3.75% money market. Below $20,000 there, the rate is 0.75%.

Axos Business Savings and Axos Business Money Market at 0.20% are convenience accounts in an Axos login, not yield plays.

Evaluation Checklist

Write down the balance you will actually hold, then read the tier that matches it.

If a second account is required (Piermont checking, Axos BOOST41), price that account's fee too.

On Axos MMA, open the bank's page and match the date on the rate table before you fund.

Household emergency cash belongs on the high-yield savings guide, not here.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×

Moving personal emergency funds into a business savings account because the APY looks high.

  • ×

Opening Grasshopper Innovator Savings for 3.25% with $8,000 and earning 1.55%.

Tips

  • →

Pair Axos Premium Savings with Axos Basic checking if you want the BOOST41 add-on. Judge the account on 3.50% after the six cycles.

  • →

Operating cash still belongs in business checking.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • !

A 3.75% APY that needs $50,000 and checking is not a 3.75% account at $10,000.

  • !

A 0.20% business savings APY is not a high-yield product.

The Bottom Line

Axos Bank Business Premium Savings is the no-fee 3.50% reserve. Grasshopper Bank Innovator Savings is the 3.25% account once the balance is $25,000. Piermont's money market is the 3.75% account if you can hold $50,000 and open its checking. Axos Business Savings and Axos Business Money Market at 0.20% are convenience, not yield. Figures read October 17, 2026.
