Rates read on the providers' own pages through Oct 27, 2026. A provider that prices as interchange plus a markup is not listed: the interchange part depends on the card.
Card rates, monthly fees and hardware
The headline rate of each product, as the provider states it. A rate tied to a plan names the plan on the product page. “Interchange +” means the figure is the provider's markup on top of the card networks' own charge.

What one sale costs
Ticket x percentage plus the fixed cents, at the headline rate. The last column is the plan that rate belongs to: a lower rate on a paid plan is not free of the plan's monthly fee. Monthly fees, hardware and extras are not in these amounts.

n/a: the product is priced as a markup over interchange (Helcim Payments, Stax, Helcim), publishes only part of its rate, or has no rate for that channel.
Other fees we hold
Bank (ACH) payments, chargebacks and PCI, where the provider publishes them. A blank means the provider does not publish the amount, not that it is free. Products with nothing published here are left out of the table.

How it is built, and what it is not
- Sample. The 9 payment processors and 6 POS systems published on Financeradar. It is the providers we cover, not the whole market. A processor and the POS of the same company (Square, Clover, Toast, PayPal, Helcim) are two rows because they are two products with their own pages.
- Source and date. Each figure was read on the provider's own pricing page and stored with the day it was read and the URL. Every product page lists its sources. A reading older than 14 days is flagged in amber and is re-read on a schedule.
- Headline rate. The rate the provider shows first, for domestic cards. Extra charges (international cards, currency conversion, instant payouts, disputes) are on each product page under “All fees”.
- Cost of one sale. Ticket x percentage + fixed cents, rounded to the cent. It leaves out the monthly fee, hardware and any extra charge, and it names the plan the rate belongs to. We do not estimate interchange, so a markup-over-interchange product has no figure.
- Not advice. Rates change, custom quotes can be lower, and a business that processes a lot should ask for a quote. Use these figures to compare published prices.
